Connecticut meets goal with seven weeks left in open enrollment.

Connecticut reached a milestone yesterday – Access Health CT announced that it had surpassed its goal of 100,000 enrollees, seven weeks before the end of open enrollment. The actual number enrolled by the end of the day Feb.9 was 121,983.  Over 50,000 of these enrollees signed up for private insurance, and a large majority of them qualified for subsidies to help them pay for coverage.

This follows on the state having, in December, been the first state to surpass the enrollment projections set by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
