New attack ad campaign harkens back to Clinton era

If you haven’t seen the above ad you likely will sometime soon, as Americans for Prosperity has taken out a national ad buy with it. As we get closer to enrollment in the health insurance marketplaces, organizations that oppose Obamacare, such as Americans for Prosperty are starting to get a bit more creative in spreading misinformation.

Bloomberg.com takes a look, not just at the truth behind the latest American’s for Prosperity ad, but the false arguments the ad attempts to set up.

It reminds some of us of the famous Harry and Louise ads from the Clinton era — although by this decade the television couple had come around in their opinion of health care reform and were in support of President Obama’s proposal. So maybe there’s hope yet for Julie, the character in this latest ad.  Take a look at the videos below for a trip down memory lane and to see the evolution of Harry and Louise and be sure to get the facts at:  www.universalhealthct.org, www.accesshealthct.com; www.consumerreports.org; or www.healthcare.gov.
